That first image really comes at you; The colors are very complimentary and disturbing, since one doesn't usually expect black fluids to be flowing from a mouth. I really love the sheen the coated teeth have, and the excellent close up provides a lot of detail in the lips and skins and all the crevices the black seeped into.

The second image seems to bring it home, tying it all together and packing an equally strong punch. A heart being pulled out makes me feel a bit of a pang in my chest...so job well done.

you, my friend are a fantastic critic.

I didn't think the first image was strong enough alone

although I considered trying to crop it differently to make it work

but I think the two are a good pair

I am happy with the result
